How Your Diet Can Affect Your Health Dieting to some people can be an ugly word. Why? People attribute it to past failure. In this article we are going to approach dieting from a different view, rather than striving for a ultimate body and torturing ourselves, we will look at how your diet can effect your health and how eating healthy can actually make you feel better both physically and mentally. The physical benefits to eating healthy: Do you remember the last time you went out and treated yourself to that double cheese burger and large French fries? How did you feel after you ate all that food? Let me guess, if you had to do any physical activity you probably felt sluggish and you just wanted to take a nap. That is because that type of food does nothing but weigh you down, most of your energy is being used to digest the food that you just put into your body. On the other hand you can eat a healthier and lighter meal that will not leave you feeling so weighted down; a good example would be a chef salad or a dinner salad with a proper portion of meat. By eating healthy you will have more energy. The mental benefits to eating healthy: Lets face it when you eat the junk food and weigh yourself down not only do you get tired you also get grumpy. It has also been proven that somebody that consumes a lot of junk food will have difficulty thinking and remembering things. A person that eats healthy will begin to look at themselves in a more positive light also, when you are more positive about yourself it begins to reach the rest of the world that you come into contact with and that is a positive way that your diet can affect your health. There are many benefits to eating healthy, the above two points are only a couple reasons that your diet can effect your health. However once you start eating healthy it will become a habit. |
